PS Ograbraj Team Seizes Illegal Timber in Port Mout Forest

On March 25th, 2024, the PS Ograbraj team embarked on a crucial mission to dismantle the manufacturing of premature illicit liquor and apprehend the perpetrators in the Port Mout revenue forest area. Led by SI Devanand Pathak, SHO of PS Ograbraj, the team aimed to tackle rampant illegal activities plaguing the region.

During their operation, the team stumbled upon evidence of illegal activity while scouring the revenue forest area behind Port Mout Basti. Shockingly, they discovered hand-sawn padauk timber, indicating illicit logging activities. This discovery underscored the seriousness of the situation and prompted the team to initiate a meticulous investigation.

Despite exhaustive efforts to determine the ownership and legality of the timber, the team could not uncover any evidence indicating legality. Consequently, they swiftly seized the illegal timber on the spot. The operation resulted in the recovery of 03 pieces of hand-sawn padauk timber, measuring approximately 8 feet in length each.

The seized timber was promptly documented with a memo by the PS Ograbraj team, highlighting their commitment to upholding the law. Subsequently, the information regarding the seizure was conveyed to Mr. Anoop Singh, Forester, Ograbraj Beat, Tushnabad Range. Mr. Singh assured the team of his commitment to taking over the seized articles from the spot for further necessary action.

This successful operation underscores the relentless efforts of the PS Ograbraj team in combating illegal activities within the forests.
