How to apply?

  1. To apply, candidates must use the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Applications sent through other methods won’t be accepted and will be rejected without consideration.
  2. You need to provide either your Matriculation/10th Standard certificate or an equivalent one that shows your date of birth. If your certificate doesn’t have your birth date, you can submit a School leaving certificate from Tamil Nadu or Kerala.
  3. You must give your Degree/Diploma certificate to prove your education level. If you don’t have it yet, you can show a provisional certificate along with mark sheets from all your academic years.
  4. If you claim that your education is equivalent to what’s required, you need to show an order or letter from the authority that says so.
  5. You should have certificates from the head of your previous organization or department that state your work experience. They should mention when you worked there, your basic pay, and the tasks you did. These certificates should be in the correct format. If not, they’ll be considered based on their content.
  6. If you’re applying for reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC categories, you need a caste certificate from the right authority. It should clearly say your caste, the law recognizing it, and where you live. If you’re claiming OBC status, you also need a declaration saying you’re not in the creamy layer of OBC. The last date for applying online is usually the deciding date unless stated otherwise.
  7. If you have a disability and want to apply as a Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), you need a certificate from the competent authority. This certificate should follow the standards set for medical fitness. The authority should be a Medical Board set up by the Central or State Government, with specialists assessing the disability.
  8. If you’re making any other claims, you should provide supporting documents for those claims too.
