Method of Recruitment:
By Deputation: Officers of A & N Administration (including any officer appointed to services under A&N Administration from amongst persons employed by the existing local authority) are eligible.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department.
- Or, having three years of service in the Grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay equivalent to Rs. 9300-34800 + GP Rs. 4200 in PB-2/Level-6 in Pay Matrix Rs. (35400-112400) (Revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department.
- And, Possessing three years of experience in formulation of Annual Plan/Five Year Plan and scrutiny, consolidation, evaluation, and monitoring of UT/PRI Plans Schemes, maintenance of data, documents, and other records related to developmental plans/Schemes.
Period of Deputation and Maximum Age Limit:
The period of deputation shall not exceed three years, including any previous deputation in an ex-cadre (the post that can be filled through Contract or Deputation or Promotion) post. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of the application.

Along with the application, certified copies of the ACRs for the last five years, Integrity Certificate, and Vigilance Clearance should be submitted.

Terms and Conditions:
- The terms and conditions of deputation shall be clearly defined including the period of deputation and the date of relieving of the deputationist. No further orders for relieving the officer will be necessary.
- The deputationist officer would be deemed to have been relieved on the date of expiry of the deputation period unless an extension has been approved prior to the date of expiry. Overstaying without authorization may lead to disciplinary action.
- Written consent of the officer concerned shall be obtained before issuing deputation orders.
- These instructions apply to all deputationists, including state government officers/all India services officers joining central government posts on deputation.
If the borrowing organizations require relaxation from these terms, approval from DOPT should be obtained prior to the start of deputation.
