Nukkad Natak to Promote Election Awareness MGG College, Mayabunder

Today, the students of Mahatma Gandhi Government College, Mayabunder take to the streets of Nilambur Jetty, Adazig Market, South Creek Market, and Uttara Market with a mission to cultivate responsible democratic awareness among the public. As part of the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) activities, they transformed these everyday spaces into stages for thought-provoking Nukkad Nataks (street plays) under the purview of Nilambur, Sundergarh, and Uttara Gram Panchayats.

The Nukkad Natak performances were centered around fostering sense of duty and stressing the significance of making informed decisions during elections. By employing compelling narratives and captivating performances, the students sought to motivate young people to vote wisely and take an active role in molding the destiny of their neighborhoods.

This initiative is part of a larger effort to organize similar Nukkad Nataks across all conspicuous locations within the Gram Panchayats under the North & Middle Andaman district. By bringing these performances to the forefront of public spaces, the organizers hope to reach a wider audience and spark meaningful conversations about election awareness and youth empowerment.

Attached herewith is the subsequent schedule, venue, and timing for the conduct of Nukkad Nataks under Rangat Tehsil. This endeavor underscores the commitment of the youth towards fostering a culture of informed citizenship and active participation in the democratic process.
