Educational Qualifications

Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject and have obtained at least 50% marks.

– OR –

Hold a Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject, have obtained at least 45% marks, and have participated in National, State, or Inter University competitions in sports, games, or athletics that are recognized by either the Association of Indian University or the Indian Olympic Association.

– OR –

You must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 45% marks and have participated in National, State, or Inter-University sports, games, or athletics.

– OR –

If you are a deputed in-service candidate (such as a trained Physical Education Teacher or Coach), you must have a graduation degree with at least 45% marks and possess a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience as per the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms Procedure) Regulations, 2009.

– OR –

If you have a degree in Physical Education, you must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks.

– OR –

You must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject with a minimum of 40% marks.

If you are a graduate who participated in School or Intercollegiate sports/games or passed the NCC ‘C’ certificate as per the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007.

If you hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) from a recognized institution, which typically involves a 3-year duration.

– OR –

If you have graduated and represented your State or University in sports/games/athletics.

– OR –

If you’re a graduate who secured 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position in Inter-Collegiate Sports/Games tournaments, possess an NCC ‘C’ certificate, or have passed a basic course in Adventure Sports.

– OR –

If you hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a one-year training program in Sports Science, Sports Management, Sports Coaching, Yoga, Olympic Education, Sports Journalism, etc., as per the National Council for Teacher Regulations of 2002.

– AND –

  1. You must have completed a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) program of at least one-year duration from any institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.
  2. Proficiency in Hindi language is essential.

Desirable:

  1. Master’s Degree in the subject concerned.
  2. Three years’ experience from recognized Institution.

Age limits:

  • The maximum age limit is 30 years as of the closing date for receipt of application forms through online mode.
  • Candidates are eligible for a two-year age relaxation granted by the Hon’ble LG, which is over and above the upper age limit specified.
  • Additionally, age relaxation is provided to candidates belonging to ST (Scheduled Tribes), OBC (Other Backward Classes), PwD (Persons with Disabilities), and Ex-servicemen categories as per the Rules/Instructions of the Government of India (GOI) and the Administration of Andaman and Nicobar Islands (A & N Administration) issued from time to time.

How to Apply online:

Step 1: Registration and Application Submission:

  1. Ensure that you meet all eligibility criteria and possess the required educational qualifications for the desired post.
  2. Visit the online portal at https://edurec.andaman.gov.in to register and fill out the application form.
  3. Complete all mandatory fields in the application form. Failure to provide necessary information will result in rejection.
  4. Upload a recent photograph (20KB to 70KB) and signature (10KB to 30KB) in .jpg or .jpeg format only.
  5. Annexure documents must be uploaded in .jpg, .jpeg, or .pdf format, with file sizes ranging from 20KB to 5MB.
  6. Merge all semester mark sheets into a single PDF document. If a consolidated mark sheet is available, upload it in PDF format.
  7. Enable JavaScript in your browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome) to ensure successful form submission.
  8. Upload all educational documents and testimonials. Documents not uploaded will not be considered during physical verification.

Step 2: Verification and Submission of Hard Copy:

  1. After submitting the online application, print a hard copy of the form.
  2. Collect all educational certificates from class X onwards and supporting documents.
  3. Physically visit the designated verification-cum-receiving center before 03-04-2024, 3:00 PM.
  4. Do not send the hard copy by post or proxy; submission must be done in person.
  5. Ensure all documents are properly tagged (no stapling) and paginated. Clearly indicate pagination on the application form.
  6. Obtain acknowledgment from the receiving officer, including date and seal, upon submission.
  7. Receiving and verifying offices are open from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM on weekdays, excluding Sundays and public holidays.
  8. Original documents and certificates must be presented for verification. Failure to do so will result in rejection of the online application.
  9. No changes to the submission schedule will be accommodated. Incomplete online applications will be rejected.
