Responsibilities
- Measure clients’ bodies carefully to make sure the clothes fit them correctly.
- Help customers pick fabrics, styles, and designs for their clothes.
- Make custom patterns or change existing ones to fit what customers want.
- Cut fabric based on patterns and measurements, trying not to waste any.
- Sew clothes by hand or with machines, being careful with the details.
Basic Requirements
- Having done tailoring before, especially in fancy or high-quality fashion places.
- Being good at measuring accurately and knowing how clothes are made. Being good at sewing, both by hand and with big sewing machines.
- Knowing about different fabrics, what they’re like, and how they hang.
- Being great at talking to people and helping them out.
